Dreaming with a broken heart

Guys have a tendency to mess up; actually we have a tendency to give in to temptation, greed and at times to stupidity. It goes all the way back to Adam, all he had to do was tell Eve to get lost and take her apple with her, but he gave in and well you all know what happened next. I am assuming you all read your bibles.

The fact is that if a relationship breaks down, the guy will get the blame and we take the blame because that is what a man does. He stands up and takes responsibility, because if you make the mistake then you should be man enough to take the repercussions, that’s what separates real men from boys.  But what I don’t get is why most real men who come forward and confess their greed, infidelity and stupidity never get second chances. The good guys are always being written off.

If a bad boy makes a mistake (which is expected of him), he is forgiven because he can’t help it, it’s in his DNA, he doesn’t know any better (that’s why the call them bad boys). If a real man messes up then he never gets any sympathy (like he’s supposed to know better and what not).

So if you’re like me and dreaming with a broken heart (those of you who can sleep with the guilt), then you should know that feeling in the pit of your stomach. The feeling that is accompanied by that voice that say’s “You idiot, How could you be so stupid?”, that is then followed by flashback’s of moment’s that flash so fast that you need to sit down.

At times one has to hold on to hope, because life goes on while you continue swimming in a sea of regrets, life will pass you by and the bad boys will still be getting their undeserved second chances.
